As a director of new works and old, for ages from adult to children, my productions endeavor to honor the playwright and speak honestly of the human condition without losing sight of the great possibilities offered by the theatre. I strive to create works that never serve merely to entertain, but that also engage and challenge audiences. While many feel that the “on-demand” lifestyle of contemporary society is driving audiences away from the theatre, I think it is a challenge to be embraced. The needs and desires of an audience will always be changing, so figuring out ways to keep those audiences engaged in the personal and intimate art of theatre is and always will be an ongoing process.
